![]() This Thursday, I went out to the beautiful trail in Golden, next to the History Museum, and I took along an unfinished koi painting, and I painted. And it was so lovely, the weather was perfect and cool and breezy, and the Art Muse was moving. Painting out in the open is a great way to practice risk as an artist. It's scary to paint in public: you might mess up and right there for all to see! But risk is beautiful. And courageous. And the right kind of people will celebrate it. I met a lovely new friend and she loved my koi so much, that today, we got together and began painting a new koi together. Art, a new friend, and koi: it doesn't get any better than that!
