Have you noticed the plaques around town sharing about my artwork and an augmented reality walking tour? It's up and working with an android phone (Apple version to come soon!). Take a little tour, watch the magic happen and patronize each of the wonderful businesses and entities who have jumped in to bring this tour to you.
If you would love to have your own piece of augmented reality animated art, the app will work on my art prints, as well as on the originals and prints seen around town. Check out my store and the prints available to you and step into the AR world we've brought you. :)

I can't help it! It's so fun! Here's my latest Found Art Piece, where I take a Rembrandt reproduction of Girl with a Broom and add my own two cents! Super cheeky. The original is available: call (303) 668-9721 if interested. Something new! Found Art! Come along and watch me do the first transformation to this hilarious painting with monks. Can't wait to see what local artist, Shawn Gascoyne-Bowman, will add to it next!
I'm partnering with DejaVu Dimensions and local businesses in Golden, Colorado to create an Art Walking Tour, to give visitors to Golden and locals another reason to visit local hot spots and restaurants that welcome foot traffic. Visitors will be encouraged to tour the art pieces and murals placed throughout town and view each animation through our cell phone app. If desired, local businesses can also place promotions in the app to encourage these art appreciators to make a purchase when they stop by to view the art. It's a win-win!
If you're a downtown Golden business and want to be considered as a partner, send us your information through this page. There's a limited window of time to join us for this opportunity. Sometimes when I feel like a painting is completed, I sit back and wait. Because...is it really all done, or do I just want it to be?
This one, up above, is *almost* done. The sitting back and waiting gives my mind time to look things over and say, "Wait, I need a saddle girth," or "What about a bit more detail in our escaping dino on the left?" or, "I feel like a need a few more touches of blue in here..." Sometimes my mind just needs a moment or two to think things over, to let the image settle, so to speak, and to let the little things rise up that need a bit of attention. And then, I take care of them. This painting, though, even slightly unfinished, makes me smile. I hope it makes you smile, too.
There is an exciting new mural in process over at the Golden Game Guild! For lovers of fantasy, in particular, this one will be very fun to see. Golden's newest business is a delightful place to visit, whether you enjoy role playing games, meeting new people in a fun environment or playing board games with your family.
And to go along with the fun of a fantasy feel, I am in the process of creating a 12' x 8' mural in the back room. Look for magical creatures and a fight between good and evil! Since fantasy art was one of my first loves (Oh yeah, see my 10 year old self draw those unicorns!), it has been such a delight and joy to dive into this fantasy mural. I can't wait to show you all the time lapse! One reason I am so inspired by our First Nations is because they understood, appreciated and used symbolism from the natural world. The colors red, black and white were very important to the Cherokee, and each of the fauna and flora that the seven Cherokee clans were named for, held significant meaning for the place that clan held within the tribe. As an artist who delights in symbolism, I love that.
